Annual Meeting

 There will be a short formal section but the meeting is intended to be as social as possible.  Light refreshment will be provided, tea and coffee will be available to buy, and it is possible to bring your own alcoholic refreshment.

As to the formalities, we need to elect officers.  Our constitution provides for a  Co-ordinator, a Treasurer and a Secretary.  Other members may be elected to fulfil specific roles.  In recent years we have been flexible as to the roles and functions to suit those available to carry them out and this can still be the case  If you would like to play a more formal role (of whatever nature) please let me know before the meeting.  Andof course we alsways welcome any assistance -even if informal.

There will also be available at the meeting a draft of the report of our activities over the past year and our accounts, both for discussion and approval.

As to the non-formalities; in addition to any discussion arising from the annual report we are specifically planning (1) a discussion of next years’ activities including our participation in the LCC Space for Cycling campaign; (2) an update on the ward audit, which has been the biggest collective effort of Newham Cyclists in my memory; (3) a discussion on the outcome of the mini-Holland exercise.  Depending on the time available this will be interspersed with some interesting short films.  Arnold
